Description

Following the destruction of her hometown Fukushima by a tsunami and the ensuing nuclear fallout, twelve-year-old Aiko travels to Tokyo to punish those allegedly responsible for her home's destruction. Daiichi Dash is a twin-stick 2d Jump’n’Shoot which combines unique hand-drawn graphics with challenging gameplay and old-school difficulty for an unforgettable gameplay experience. Join Aiko on her epic adventure as she travels through a magical forest, populated by crazed mutated animals, climbs electricity pylons in the Japanese Alps and clashes with the Mole Queen in dark underground caverns. Guide Aiko to Tokyo as she battles the Shinjuku Electrics Hazard Control Units, controls a mech, and even rides on the back of a mountain goat. Face off against challenging bosses using Aiko’s awesome weapon arsenal and her Grandfather’s Scan-Device which helps her find a way through the warped and mutated world of Daiichi Dash. 6 huge levels await you, each with its own unique design and gameplay elements. Further, Daiichi Dash is built to accommodate easy and comfortable Speedrunning through automatically generated Time Trial Leaderboards and also includes a Survival Horde Mode for those that want to dive straight into the action.

History

Early history

We found each other at a back-yard barbeque discussing the relative merits of Super Nintendo games. From there, we decided to take the 48-hour period of New Year's 2013 to put together a game. It was so much fun, that we decided to do it full time.

After that

Daiichi Dash became the first project of the Berlin based indie game studio KKM and its development is funded by the Medienboard Berlin Brandenburg. The game is built with the Unity Game Engine and is scheduled for release in late 2017.
